Network Presales Consultant / Network Enterprise Architect


Provides technical presales support in articulating NEC’s ICT infrastructure and networking solutions, with in-depth product knowledge of network and security solutions. Applicant must understand the value of IT in a leading edge business using the latest technologies and industry standards and best practices. The role of the Presales Consultant/Network Enterprise Architect is to assure the delivery of multifaceted projects through provision of architecture advice, guidance, leadership and review, working with customer and partner architects. This role will support the complete sales cycle including taking the presales/technical lead during preparation of responses to customer’s requests including solution architecture, proposal preparations, DEMO, POC etc. The applicant must be punctual, focused, and reliable, well presented and have excellent communication skills. 


  • At least 5 – 10 years’ experience in the relevant field
  • Minimum Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent
  • Experience in Networking Solution or Cloud
  • Good working knowledge design and implementation experience of networking technologies including SDX
  • Presales skill development on technologies identified as by NEC as long term strategy, such as Cisco, CheckPoint, Palo Alto, Fortinet, Bluecoat, Riverbed, F5 and Gigamon
  • Possess experience in designing IT infrastructure networking solutions that includes firewall, IPS, IDS, VPN and other solutions
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Professional certifications from leading security vendors like Checkpoint, Fortinet, Cisco, Juniper and etc will be added advantage
  • Excellent communication skills as well as good interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Willing to travel.



  • Good knowledge of networking protocols such as LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, switches, routers, firewalls, bandwidth management and design experience for web, voice, data and video networks
  • Good understanding of storage hardware and design
  • Demonstrates deep technical capabilities in assigned area of specialization
  • Awareness in competitive solutions knowledge
  • Should have a strong experience/knowledge in solution and networking architecture integration, working in service provider, system Integrator type organizations or consulting company or professional services

  • Responsible on all Pre-Sales and technical support activities which includes product presentations, proposals, technical discussion fulfilling tenders SOC and conduct proof of concepts
  • Establish partnership with vendors/partners/end users
  • Provide technical training/enablement to internal/partners/end users
  • Perform study/analysis on customer requirements, identify opportunity/expectation and propose solutions to partner/customer
  • In-house and onsite Presales/Post sales consultation engagement and support to partners/end users
  • Gathers and assesses customer needs, both business and technical. Able to understand technical issues (or business requirement), able to identify technical solutions opportunities
  • Identifies related needs (lead generation, opportunity expansion)
  • Identifies the growth path and scalability options of a solution and includes these in design activities
  • Able to work closely with Sales team on providing objectives analysis of opportunity. Investigates and optimizes a solution’s fit to the requirements of an opportunity
  • Able to assist sales in developing medium and long term pipeline with customers
  • Able to quickly learn and apply new IT technologies moving along with company direction
  • Able to prepare bid/tender documents (RFI/RFP/RFQ etc) , proposal, statement of work
  • Develop strategic relationship within partners and principles partners
  • Able to perform proof of concepts / demo for customers
  • Excellent interpersonal relationship building skills
  • Able to multi-task and  be able to represent multiple subjects and products
